A sweet-faced Tarabonner woman, with merry eyes and an eager smile, Varise Gerenhald wears her dark brown hair in a series of narrow braids, each tipped with beads of sardonyx and chalcedony, worn unusually long, and gathered into a single tail at the nape of her neck by a bright silver clip. Her eyes are pale, honey-brown and her typically Tarabonner mouth is small and pursued, as if in deep contemplation. Young enough so that she does not bear the ageless look of her more experienced sisters, Varise is pleasingly plump and has a full bust. A simple gown of somber grey linen is cut in the sleek style of her homeland, hugging her hips and waist, before falling in a swirl to her feet. Curling Cosille lace trims the high collar with more at the cuffs. Like many new sisters, Varise wears her shawl as a reminder of her new rank, the long, shimmering fringe the color of an angry stormcloud. A doubled string of small black pearls, spaced with small bits of silver, is her only visible jewelry.
