  • Full Name - Dareleine Ailille Nosaevin Aes Sedai
  • Position - Aes Sedai of the Grey Ajah, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower
  • Character Description:
Petite, slender and delicate-seeming, Dareleine Nosaevin stands with the ram-rod straight spine of a trained warrior, and a hard flinty glare alights in her wide eyes of sepia brown. Her glossy black hair is interrupted by a swirl of white over her left brow, and dressed into an artful tumble of curls, pinned in place with barrettes set with pearls, and she lends herself prestige by wearing a stunning gown of Cairheinin style, cut from darkly gleaming silver silk, with spills of sparkling black lace at her cuffs, and small ruff curling invitingly beneath her chin. A small diamond kesiera, pending from a platinum chain is fastened in her hair, and twinkles as she turns her head in the light.

Her face and frame would seem to mark her as a young woman, yet her steely composure, implacable will and wise eyes more properly belong in an older woman. Her unlined face, and ageless countenance clearly name her Aes Sedai, and indeed, Dareleine Nosaevin, born to farmers in Cairhien well over a century ago, is foremost among the sisters of the Gray Ajah.

  • Affiliation - Grey Ajah, White Tower
  • Extended Background:
      (Forth-coming....)

  • Associates:
    • Sofiya Cheade: A wild-tempered farmgirl from Saldaea, Sofiya is prone to sulky tantrums, and more often than not, is seen scrubbing pots or mucking out stables. She has been taken under Dareleine's wing as a protégé, for it seem she may have a talent for seeing ta'veren.
    • Anainda Sandomere: Cool-mannered and unfailingly polite, Anainda is a Tairen-born Accepted in whom Dareleine has taken an interest, often relying on her to copy off notes, and tend to her pigeon cote, for she beleives that she may have the ideal temperament for diplomacy and mediation. Her raising to the shawl might take some extra machinations on the part of Dareleine, however, as she is deemed rather weak in the Power.
    • Varise Gerenhald: Newly raised and dutiful, Varise has been pressed into service by Dareleine to serve as her secretary and aide. Born in Tanchico to a succesful Advocate and his wife, she has a pristine style of handwriting and is organized and efficient. Varise, though, loathes her assignment and looks forward to the day when she has aquired the clout to resign and defy her superiors in the Grey Ajah.
    • Berenielle Vinchova: A reknowned and accomplished Grey sister, Berenielle Vinchova is regarded as one of the most beautiful women to enter the Tower in a hundred years. Quite strong in the Power, she has just returned to Tar Valon after a lengthy turn on the governing council of the Tower-by-the-Sea in Illian where it is rumoured that she had taken Lord Elios Iason den Artemedes as a lover. She is a close partisan of Dareleine, and her ally, in her frequent icy conflicts with Suyen Teihan, the Head Clerk.
    • Idore Sormallon: A sister of the Green Ajah, born and raised in Illian, and is one of Dareleine's closest friends in the Tower, having been novices and Accepted together and being raised on the same night. When Idore Sedai is in residence in Tar Valon, they are often seen in each others company. Their relationship is so close that Idore often "lends" her warders to Dareleine when her responsibilities take her outside of the city.
    • Dohaana ti Jhomidaran: Among the eldest of the sisters of the White Tower, Dohaana is frail and blind with extreme age, and is considered one of the reigning doyênes of the Grey Ajah, for all that she seldom leaves the Grey suites of rooms. Reknowned for her statesmanship, she was once the advisor to Queen Isora Mairune Harada of Sheinar, centuries ago, and is credited with steering the young queen through the tumult of her early reign, and establishing the current stable dynasty. Dohaana Sedai is always attended by a clique of adoring sisters, it was she who recruited Dareleine into the Grey Ajah. Malkieri born, she is one of the barest handful that still linger in the sisterhood.
